Diversi Dial

Diversi Dial was a multi-line dial-up chat system written by Diversified Software research for the Apple //e in 1985. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's a number of Diversi Dials were installed in the United States and Canada, including several in the Chicago-land area. With the rise in availability of Internet access, the last of these systems in Chicago-land went offline in 1998. This site has served as a resource for former, sometimes current, and occaisonally new Diversi Dialers in some some fashion or another since 1995.

Items in italics actually ran software called Online for the Commodore 64, a contemporary of Diviersi-Dial with a similar feel. Any information about Online would be welcome, as there seems to be little available on the Internet.
